• B.A. English and History, Rice University, 1979 • M.B.A, Stanford University, 1984ProfessionalMr. Dunlevie is a general partner of Benchmark Capital Management, a venture capital firm he co-founded with fellow general partner and Rice alumnus, Kevin Harvey ’87, in 1995. He has become a leading venture capitalist, playing a key role in the e-commerce revolution and assisting in the creation of the Palm Pilot and eBay, Inc. Prior to co-founding Benchmark Capital Management, Mr. Dunlevie spent six years as a general partner with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre (MPAE), where he helped to develop the Palm Pilot. Before MPAE, he served as general manager of the Personal Computer Division of Everex Systems, which he founded and helped grow to a multi-hundred million-dollar business unit. Mr. Dunlevie also worked in investment banking for three years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and as a systems designer and programmer with Andersen Consulting.
