YuenEducation • B.A., Rice University, 1989 • M.A., Harvard University, 1991 • M.B.A., Stanford University, 1995ProfessionalMr. Yuen is co-chair and trustee of the Yuen Foundation, which supports projects in education, medical research and poverty reduction. Before retiring in 2007, he spent 12 years with SPO Partners, an investment partnership that manages over $7 billion of capital, the last eight years as a partner. Mr. Yuen led the firm’s investments in wireless telephony towers, offshore drilling rigs and oil & gas producers. Earlier in his career, he was with McKinsey & Company. He was also a summer associate with Goldman Sachs during business school.Mr. Yuen currently serves on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board, the Harvard University China Advisory Group, the UCSF Foundation Investment Committee, the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Northern California, the JCC San Francisco Investment Committee and the Phillips Brooks School Board of Trustees. Mr. Yuen and his wife, Dr. Sandra Tsai ‘91, a Stanford Medical School post-doctoral fellow, live in the San Francisco Bay Area with their three sons.
