Two events hosted by the Visual and Dramatic Arts Department were chosen by the Houston Chronicle as Best Bets, as published in the September 27 print-version of the paper.  The first event was a joint exhibition by Moscow-born Anna Ataeva and Department staffer Randall McCabe followed by receptions for both artists on Tuesday, September 29; the second event was a reception for Rice senior Erin Rouse at the Matchbox, the new student-run gallery downstairs from the Rice Gallery.  For more information, go to http://arts.rice.edu/
