Mr. Spector recently retired from BP North America where he was the Managing Director of Structured Products and headed up BP’s coverage of oil and gas producers and midstream companies, providing both financial hedging and physical offtake. Previously, he led BP’s coverage of Banks, Private Equity funds and Hedge funds, delivering pre-close hedging to these financial sponsors when they made asset acquisitions. Before joining BP, Mr. Spector was the Managing Director of ACN Energy, Inc. a leading retail electric and gas marketing company. Prior to ACN, Mr. Spector was a Director at Enron North America, Inc. where he worked in the gas and power businesses and founded their coal marketing and trading business. His career began at Pace Consultants, Inc. where his practice focused on refining and petrochemicals.
Mr. Spector currently serves on Rice's Committee on Undergraduate Curriculum and the Houston Exchange Club. He is the founder of the MBA Council of Houston and a past Board Member of the Jones School Alumni Association as well as his 25th Reunion Giving Committee.
