Mr. Yuen is a private investor. Previously, he spent 12 years with SPO Partners, an investment partnership managing over $7 billion of capital, the last eight years as a partner. Mr. Yuen led the firm's investments in wireless telephony towers, offshore drilling rigs and oil & gas producers. Earlier in his career, he was with McKinsey & Company. He was also a summer associate with Goldman Sachs during business school.
Mr. Yuen currently serves on the Harvard University China Advisory Board and the Making Waves Foundation Board of Directors. Previously he served on the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board, the UCSF Foundation Investment Committee, the Salvation Army Advisory Board for Northern California, and the Phillips Brooks School Board of Trustees. Mr. Yuen and his wife, Dr. Sandra Tsai ‘91, a Stanford Medical School assistant professor, live in Atherton, California with their three sons.
