Rob Quartel

Mr. Quartel is CEO and Chairman of NTEL·X. The company
uses predictive analysis solutions to automate and improve applied
operational decisions in situations ranging from
counter-proliferation activities to insuring food import security
to truck congestion management technology solutions in ports around
the world. He is a former US Federal Maritime Commissioner,
an internationally recognized expert in homeland and national
maritime security policy and was the first to identify the national
security risk inherent in the container industry right after
9/11. Mr. Quartel has long been involved in the political
arena, including his own unsuccessful race for the US Senate from
Florida in the 1990's.
Rob has served on numerous industry and government advisory
boards including the Army Science Board, the Southern Growth Policy
Board's New Economy Workforce Council; and today serves on the PAC
and Board of the Northern Virginia Technology Association, the
largest technology Council in the country. He is a Life
Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has
twice served on the ARA Board, and he and his wife , Michela
English, are long-time Rice advocates on the East Coast. He
previously served on the HRC External Advisory Board.
