Mr. Williams is Vice President and General Manager of Macmillan
New Ventures, where he is responsible for identifying emerging
technologies and trends that will have a major impact on student
performance and outcomes. Prior to Macmillan, Mr. Williams
advised development stage companies focused on restructuring, cost
containment and product development. From 1998 to 2007, Mr.
Williams was President and CEO of Questia Media, Inc., an early
online electronic book offering that he founded.
Mr. Williams is an adjunct professor at NYU, where he teaches
the capstone thesis course on starting new businesses in the
Masters of Publishing program. He was a member of the External
Advisory Board at the Rice University Humanities Research Center
and has served on the boards of the Harris County Education
Foundation, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, the Rice
Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship in Austin, and
Imprint, Houston's leading literary arts organization, among
others.
