The School of Humanities provides competitive funding for unpaid, professional internships independently obtained by Humanities majors. We will also accept requests for Humanities students applying for the Summer unpaid Museum District internships. Funding will vary depending on an internship’s duration, location, and intensity. Funding will only be awarded to declared Humanities majors. Graduating seniors are not eligible.
Applicants must submit a budget for the full amount requested along with a narrative explaining the budget, how the student found the internship, and what the student hopes to gain from the experience. A position does not need to be secured before the student applies for funding. If an application is chosen for funding prior to the position being secured, funds will be held until the School of Humanities receives confirmation of employment. For Summer 2017 internships, applications will be accepted beginning September 1, 2016, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the final deadline of Friday, April 7, 2017.
