Websites Guidelines, Assistance, and Support

Websites are a valuable resource for our school's outreach. They are often the initial point of contact for visitors needing information for prospective students, prospective faculty, faculty research, current events, curriculum and degree information, and current news and initiatives. Websites are also a resource for our Rice community by providing class/department information, support, and direction for faculty, staff, and students. Our websites also highlight and promote student and faculty research.

Websites provide information on events, news, program/department updates, and curriculum in a well-organized and attractive way that is visually exciting. Websites are owned by and represent Rice University and must adhere to university branding and accessibility standards.

Website Guidance and Assistance

In the School of Humanities, we have a website team that helps, guides, and assists in website creation, updating, and organization. Our team often reviews all school websites to help keep them current, well-organized, and in compliance with Rice policies and guidelines. They also serve as a resource for best practices and advice on how to present and display information.

For questions and support for websites, please contact Eric Granquist, director of the School of Humanities information technology workflow and Gaylon Denney, the school's digital communications and information manager.
