Since the Moody Center for the Arts’ official opening Feb. 24, the 50,000-square-foot center has served not only as an internationally focused arts institution, but also as a flexible teaching space to encourage new modes of making, learning and presenting.
A late winter sun shone brightly on the new Moody Center for the Arts building and on the enthusiastic crowd gathered on the center’s front terrace and lawn for the Feb. 24 dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting. The 50,000-square-foot, $30 million center will serve as an internationally focused arts institution.
HOUSTON -- (Feb. 6, 2017) -- Rice University Theatre in collaboration with the university's Moody Center for the Arts will present “Proof” by David Auburn, winner of both the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play in 2001. Performances will be at 8 p.m. March 1-4 at Hamman Hall, 6100 Main St. A 3 p.m. matinee is scheduled for March 5.
