Application Questions
Please prepare thoughtful written responses — approximately 1–2 paragraphs each — to the four questions
below, in this order, and upload them as a single PDF file using the attachment field provided on this form.
1) Why did you choose your major (or why are you considering a Humanities/Arts major)? What specific questions, media, or historical/cultural topics do you hope to investigate during your time as a Fellow?
2) A central component of this program is working in Common Interest Research Teams to build public-facing digital archives and exhibitions. Describe an experience where you collaborated on a group project or creative effort. What unique perspectives or strengths will you bring to a team building a public digital project?
3) Beyond research, Fellows gain access to career tools, conference funding, and technical micro-credentials
(e.g., UX Design, Data Analytics, Project Management). How do you anticipate these professional
resources—and the skills learned in the humanities—helping you achieve your post-graduation career or
academic goals (such as Fulbright/Wagoner awards or specific career paths)?
4) The Moody Fellowship is a multi-semester commitment anchored by the 1-hour weekly research seminar (HUMA 399). Confirm that you understand this weekly scheduling commitment over four terms, and briefly share what you hope to gain from participating in a continuous multi-year cohort.
