2026 • Creative Imagination • Bold Research • Transformative Vision • Real Impact
With close to 100 Rice undergraduates presenting their research and innovative creative works across various formats, this two-day School of Humanities and Arts showcase and celebration is an event you do not want to miss!
Listen to presentations, talk with student researchers and artists, and earn raffle tickets to win prizes. Be sure to attend our Cinematic Arts Showcase and check out the work of our student filmmakers. Join us on Tuesday, April 14, at 5 p.m. for the Awards for Excellence and Dessert Reception in Ray’s Courtyard where we will announce the recipients of the School of Humanities and Arts’ top awards for research and creative work and the winners of our raffle giveaway.
The Humanities and Arts Festival — held in conjunction with the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry’s Inquiry Weeks — is our annual showcase and celebration of innovative and transformative undergraduate student research and creativity. “The Humanities and Arts Festival offers an opportunity to see how research and imagination come together to create bold ideas,” says Nicole A. Waligora-Davis, Humanities and Arts associate dean. “It’s also an occasion for us to make visible to the wider Rice community and partners throughout Houston the kind of rich, intellectual, vibrant and creative life that is the hallmark of our school.”
