History Major | Sid Richardson College

Allison Bullock is a junior at Sid Richardson College majoring in History and Psychology. Her research interests primarily focus on American history and the formation of racial dynamics in the United States over time. For the past year, she has been working on a Fondren Fellows project researching the Red Book of Houston, a 1915 publication that highlights the accomplishments of Black Houstonians fifty years after Emancipation. Through this project, she wrote extended biographies on prominent Houstonians featured in this book and organized a panel of Red Book descendants for the 2024 Black Houston Symposium. In the future, Allison intends to continue her research on the impact of race and class on the experiences of Americans.
