History and Transnational Asian Studies Majors | Martel College

I'm a current senior at Martel studying History and Transnational Asian Studies. I'm interested in modern East Asian cultural history, and I am currently writing a senior thesis while applying for graduate programs. I'm also involved with the Department of Transnational Asian Studies, the Rice Historical Review and The MOB, where I play piccolo and oboe. In my free time, I like to do Indian classical dance, watch TV, and visit gardens.

Research Interests: History of cultural governance of performing arts, film, and television in East Asia, historical narratives in cultural products, official historiographies, Chinese intellectual history
