Hongtao Hu

Hongtao Hu is a junior at Will Rice College studying English (Creative Writing Concentration) and Operations Research. He is interested in modern day trends surrounding daring and romance, such as heteropessimism and the incel movement. Alongside this, he studies historical and modern-day depictions of asexuality in relation to topics such as desiring-production and theories of attraction. He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Wild Grain, an English department literary magazine, and an Assistant News Editor for the Rice Thresher.

Following graduation, Hongtao plans to take a gap year before returning to graduate school.
