Nihar Shetty is a junior from Jones College majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. After graduating from Rice University, he plans to attend medical school with the goal of eventually becoming a palliative care physician. In his free time, he enjoys biking for Jones and doing stick-and-poke tattoos.
Research Interests: narrative constructions of a “good death” in intercultural palliative settings; spiritual and ritual needs of patients and families at the end of life; spiritual care for the nonreligious in secular clinical institutions, and art and story based interventions for meaning-making in chronic illness.
