Nebil Husayn, associate professor of religious studies at the University of Miami and the author of the book, “Opposing the Imam: The Legacy of the Nawasib in Islamic Literature”, presented a lecture titled "Memories of Ali in Sunni and Shi’i Islam" on Feb. 23, 2023. His talk was part of the Rice University School of Humanities Kazimi Lecture Series in Shi’i Studies, made possible through a generous gift from the children of Syed Safdar and Samina Kazimi.
