Denise Saladino Michalak came to Rice in 2007 from Texas A&M-Kingsville.  She assisted in the Grants & Contracts department in post-award administration for nine years, lastly filling the position of assistant director.

Originally from Pasadena, Texas, the need to return to her roots and family brought her back to Houston.  She has served in the School of Humanities Dean’s office since June of 2007.  She currently holds the title of division finance & budget manager.  

In addition to all things financial, Denise has recently spread her wings to assist the School of Humanities’ development officer with gift processing and donor stewardship.
