Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship provides undergraduate funding for students who are committed to environmental issues. Applicants must have demonstrated leadership in work related to the environment, whether in policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice, economics, or another field. Udall also awards scholarships to Native American and Alaskan Native students who plan to pursue careers in public and community health care, tribal government, and public policy affecting Native American communities. Greene Prize for Environmental Writing

Endowed by the family of alumnus David Greene (’93), the Greene Prize was established in 1998 to encourage the creation, dissemination, and recognition of original environmental writing by students at Rice.

Both Rice undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for submitting their works for the Greene Prize competition. Contents of the submissions can include but not limited to: environmental coursework, thesis projects, research reports and writing oriented toward a public audience.
